Joseph Sorrentino
Senior Vice President
Joseph Sorrentino, Sr. Vice President, is responsible for SpireGlobal's day to day U.S. Sales and Marketing operations. Sorrentino has been instrumental in building Spire Global's US sales team, which includes highly experienced sales personnel from the video/audio industry. He is responsible for developing and executing the new channel sales strategy, driving the market channel partner programs, as well as strategic partnerships. Sorrentino brings more than 25 years of Executive Management experience to Spire Global having spent most of his sales career working with direct and indirect sales channels.
Prior to joining Spire Global from November 2004 – September 2006 Sorrentino held the position of VP worldwide sales and marketing for ClearOne Communications, where he was responsible for all sales and marketing operations worldwide. Sorrentino built a world class sales team, developed the sales and marketing strategies that helped Clear one increase revenues year over year by double digit growth. He was instrumental in growing market share in Clear one's Installed Audio business and tabletop businesses. Sorrentino was the driving force behind the marketing concept of Clear one's table top attached product that took Clear one's table top conferencing business from an industry unknown to the second largest tabletop conferencing business worldwide in less than two years. During his tenure his sales and marketing teams launched multiple new product lines in the personal, tabletop, and installed space.
From April 2002 to November 2004 – Sorrentino served as Vice President of Sales for Polycom's voice communications division where he was responsible for building Polycom's voice sales team, launching new products in the IP and installed conferencing space, as well as growing their market share leading tabletop conferencing business.
Prior to Polycom, Sorrentino served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales for 3Ware, a start-up storage company where he grew revenues for eight consecutive quarters. 3ware was subsequently acquired by a publicly-traded company on the NASDAQ exchange.
Sorrentino's career also included Management roles with such notable companies as IBM, Motorola, Conner/Seagate and Adaptec.
Mr. Sorrentino earned a Bachelor of Science degree from San Jose State University.
Paul Dragos
Director of Engineering
Paul Dragos is Spire Global's Director of Engineering. Paul's responsibilities include interfacing with Spire Global's growing base of direct and indirect resellers and end-users regarding integration, training and pre sales support with the Sony Video Conferencing products. Paul plays a key role working with the Spire Global Sales team in growing reseller and end-user awareness on the products as well as providing trouble shooting and technical trainings for all new dealers and resellers.
Prior to joining Spire Global Paul was with Sony's Ipela Visual communications group from 2002 to 2007, where he held the position of Manager, Sales Support Engineering. He supervised 11 subordinate engineers, and ensured Sony's pre-sales support for the entire country.
From 1999 to 2002 Paul was with Televideo Systems inc. where he held the title of Manager of Videoconferencing. Responsible for all aspects of teleconferencing, from sales to service, he was quickly recognized as an expert in the Sony line of products.
From 1996 to 1999 Paul was Director of Operations for the Navy Communications Company, a government contractor awarded the assignment of installing 21 VC centers on Navy bases all over the world. Paul managed logistics and engineering support for the entire project.
Paul also was a Navy Pilot from 1983 to 1996, serving in the Gulf War and flying over 2500 hours before leaving the service to pursue his civilian engineering career.
Paul is a graduate of The University of California, San Diego.
Dave Petricig
Director of Channel Sales
Dave Petricig joins Spire Global's management team as Director of Channel Sales for the U.S., with over 13 years of sales experience in the video, audio and web conferencing industry. Dave's responsibilities include growing the U.S. reseller base both direct and indirect for Sony products, managing the network of distributors across the country and building Spire Global's U.S. network of manufacturer reps.
From January 2005 to April 2007 Dave was with ClearOne Communications where he held a similar title as Director of North America Channel Sales. During Dave's career at ClearOne he was a key contributor on the sales team that drove year over year double digit revenue growth. ClearOne's drive to become a force in the tabletop conferencing space was lead by Dave having managed the personal, tabletop and premium conferencing product lines, and was responsible for growing these products into industry leaders.
January 2001 to January 2005 Dave was with Review Video as Director of Audio Sales. During Dave's time there he was an instrumental member of the sales team that affected unparalleled growth for Review Video in both video and audio products. Dave ended his career at Review Video heading up all product sales as the Director of Sales North America.
June 1999 to December 2000 Dave was manager of the Teleconferencing business for Communitech, selling conferencing hardware and services to end-users.
June 1998 to June 1999 Dave worked for Polycom as Distribution Sales Rep for the audio division.
Prior to Polycom Dave worked for U.S. Robotics as a Sales Associate for the Telephony Sales Division.
Dave earned a BA degree from Illinois State University.
Jeremy Johnson
Director of Operations
Jeremy Johnson is Spire Global's Director of Operations. Jeremy's role encompasses a variety of areas including logistics, operations, marketing and web initiatives, and IT.
Jeremy is a key member of the management team at Spire Global and played a major role in helping to develop key channel initiatives and programs to help support channel partners. He is also responsible for pricing strategy, market analysis, and contract management and execution.
Prior to joining Spire Global, Jeremy was a partner with Wave Strategies, Inc. from 2004-2007. In his capacity at Wave strategies he managed sales and marketing initiatives for clients from Fortune 500 firms to regional companies in industries including high-tech, real-estate, automotive, retail, professional sports, entertainment, and education – helping these clients better understand customer buying behavior and how to drive sales more effectively.
From 2003-2004 Jeremy was with Global Sales Partners as Director of New Business Development where his main responsibilities included targeting Fortune 2000 firms in the US to sell products and services on behalf of GSP's clients.
Jeremy received both his Masters and Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance from Pepperdine University.
